How to call a tender on Tenderit
Paid member, called suppliers, can call their own tenders. If you have a free account and wish to call your own tenders, join now and select the "Paid account" option
Starting your tender is simple. Fill a form out with your conditions and click it to begin.
The reason for the information required at each step is explained below.
Step through the form as follows.
Any field marked with an *asterisk must be filled in.
Title:
The title is what visitors to the site will see. It's the first hint of what you are seeking in your tender. "Tender for primary school classroom refurbishment" is clear, while "Rebuilding project" is not. The title is your chance to attract relevant responses.
Tender type:
Tenders are classed as:
- Tender - you want work done or services supplied and you ask for bidders to quote a price.
- RFI - Request for information. You request information from potential bidders to allow you to assess their capabilities and decide whether you'll short-list them.
- RFP - Request for proposal. You know what work needs to be done and you'd like potential providers to tell you how they'd do it and what they'd charge.
- Urgent - This is a special class of tender. It signifies that you want fast responses and fast (about a day or so) turnaround, maybe to avoid a return trip with an empty truck or for perishable goods.
Starts on:
Set the start day and the end day of your tender. Use the small calendar icon to the right of the ends date to make it easier to visualise the month.
Deadline:
Although you have set an end date, you might set a more precise deadline of, say, midday or 5pm for bidders to submit their documents.
Location:
Let bidders know where you want the goods supplied or the work performed.
